There is a way to make it work:
1) Open an IE window with being logged into the Filesonic .
2) Paste the Filesonic URL to the blue "add " button of the FDM main menu.
Resume does not function but 'the good old' FDM does the job.

This suggestion doesn't work.

Re: FDM and Filesonic problem 3l1f2t
So can someone please explain the fix again. I want FDM to manage my DLs from FileSonic like it does from Hotfile (splits it into chunks etc) and I cannot figure out how to get it to work. Every time I just get a nonsense tiny file ed. I have a for FS I just bought thinking it would work like Hotfile does or Rapidshare used to, but it blows.
The FileSonic folks just tell me to use their crappy manager, same as RapidDouche
Any help is much appreciated.

I had this problem with FDM V3 and though 3.5 would fix it. But it does not.
You still have to use IE and to a site before you can links from that site. The use and id does not work. This also creates a major problem where when IE expires the cookies for what ever reason, all your links become invalid and some error page.
MU and to some extent RS are the only hosts that do not expire their cookies all the time. Some do it 10 times a day like every couple of hours so I am very careful about not turning on a large job knowing that most of the links would end up worthless and havin gto reenter all that info all over again into FDM. Fileserve and Filesonic never expired their cookies as long a you went to their site every couple of days but these days nothing seem to help.
But if you to the site with IE then FDM seems to use the info from the browser to from al the hosts I have tried. You can just enter the link into FDM and hit go. Now there are problems with multipel segments and such but it works for straight s. Resume is also a problem with some. I stopped using segments because of the expired links syndrome causing major problems.

filename wrote:I was able to fix the issue with Filesonic redirects not working in Free Manager and FlashGot on Mozilla. I am currently running:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:2.0b11pre) Gecko/20110202 Firefox/4.0b11pre
FlashGot 1.2.8.1
Free Manger 3.5 RC 931
Below are the settings I believe most crucial to getting this to work.
In Firefox -> FlashGot Options -> Privacy:
*Send autodetected Referrer URL [selected]
*Send Cookies [checked]
*HTTP Authentication [UNCHECKED]
In Free Manager -> Options -> Settings -> New -> Advanced -> Protocol:
*Identify on server as: [YOUR AGENT STRING] #Mine for example is "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:2.0b11pre) Gecko/20110202 Firefox/4.0b11pre"
*Referrer: [blank]
*Use HTTP 1.1 [checked]
*Use cookies [checked]
Make sure you don't enter your information in the "Site Manager" or "Create new " options. I was unable to get Free Manager to work with filesonic with the built in authentication. If you don't know how to get your agent string go to http://www.agentstring.com/.
MAN! you are damn brilliant!
I even could from fileserve, and it stopped then resumed by filesonic!
Just, make sure what browser you used with.
