Looks FF57 is out and now the real test begins. I kept the working image but redid a new install with FF57 and 1638 to see if the torrent s don't break again after cancelling FDM action. Will report back how progress goes here.

Update: don't go FF57 with FDM 1638 your torrent links will break if you cancel it and loading FDM 1636 in FF57 becomes disable legacy...so no go here.

FDM 3.9.7 build 1638 comes with WebExtension v.3.0.3 in place of of classic extension v.2.2.3. Web extension is currently v.3.0.5, but it isn't fully functional yet so you may uninstall build 1638, reinstall build 1636, update extension to v.2.2.3 (if needed) and use it in legacy mode with Firefox 57.

If you want to test WebExtension, make sure that any FDM extension isn't turned on in Firefox, close the browser, disable Firefox monitoring in FDM, close FDM, remove extension v.2.2.3 from the disk and remove info about the extension from the registry. Then you can run FDM again and turn on Firefox monitoring. When you reopen your Firefox you should see FDM extension v.3.0.3 installed on extensions list. Right click the extension name and choose "Update extension" from the context menu (see this message: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17744#p44981 ).

So far reimage and uninstall FF56 then reinstall FF57 and v3 1638 - 3.0.6 addon and so far no major problems to report back so far.

So will the missing torrent catch and epub catches be fixed in up coming v3 beyond 1638? I notice that is will not catch those links but mainstream links will work like the Browser for FF and various software updates links work without problem but seems like it misses ing specific links to FDM to catch to or allow you to cancel it option.

It's seems to be incomplete feature in Firefox WebExtenstion API. Firefox doesn't provide or file name or type to FDM WebExtension for such links, so FDM can't catch . Use right click and select " with FDM" from the context menu, it works for me.

Well I had hoped it did the same as before but I guess not with FF57 changes. But as long as it doesn't do the same as before where it went straight to save with the same error saves as before then there is no choice here.

In general it works OK, but in some cases FDM may improper torrent pieces or ignore some pieces, see old reports here:

there's a bug in FDM 3.9.7. for example, I can't this: http://get.daum.net/PotPlayer/Version/L ... rSetup.exe . no matter how I try, be it clicking, right clicking--> with fdm or copying/pasting the URL into FDM, it stops immediately saying "file not found in server"

(this also happens on other servers, i just can't recall right now)

it says "file not found in server" and it stops. If I use "save as...", then it s just fine, so it's obviously an FDM issue.
