FDM and Filesonic problem 5h505f

Antaro » Sun Dec 05, 2010 2:55 pm

Hello everybody.
I purchased lately a filesonic and currently having some problems when i try to files using your accelerator. Does FDM s filesonic service after all ?
No matter what link i paste into FDM im not able to get a size of the file i want to . Everytime program says "size unknown". Is it due to ssl links or something ? Any ideas ?

Have you read FAQ on Filesonic website?
Have you read here, in this forum, topics about Rapidshare, Mega and other file hosting services?
Can you provide any link to a file on Filesonic?
Can you be more specific about your software - OS, FDM, browser version?

Of course i have read FAQ on filesonic website. And i hate this written in java Jer they reccomend.
Link to filesonic file that cant be ed with FDM
At first it looks like this http://www.filesonic.com/file/33812127/ ... part10.rar
but FDM somehow, im not sure if its right take it a level deeper
http://s96.filesonic.com//33812 ... 2f2ed76583

What the hell is that link ? FDM doesnt recognize it, it doesnt find the file. Size unknown

I dont know what my software have to do with this problem, but whatever...

I have exactly the same problem.

I have a Filesonic .

FDM accepts the link but cannot the linked file and also cannot the file.

Very annoying as FDM does everything else brilliantly

Any suggestions on what the problem is ?

Looking at the link format I think Filesonic uses some hash function for link creating. The hashes may be created depending on:
- some data browser-specific (for example, -Agent and Referrer);
- some data related to the file access (for example, name and , access timestamp).
FDM can catch some data from the browser and forward them to the website, but not all of them, I'm afraid. Website s frequently change scripts to disable leeching by non-ed ers.

I have the same problem.

If you open the ed file in a text editor it says "bad hash".

Looks like FDM can't be used with Filesonic (or any of their re-sellers). Shame. :(

I was able to fix the issue with Filesonic redirects not working in Free Manager and FlashGot on Mozilla. I am currently running:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:2.0b11pre) Gecko/20110202 Firefox/4.0b11pre
FlashGot 1.2.8.1
Free Manger 3.5 RC 931

Below are the settings I believe most crucial to getting this to work.
In Firefox -> FlashGot Options -> Privacy:
*Send autodetected Referrer URL [selected]
*Send Cookies [checked]
*HTTP Authentication [UNCHECKED]
In Free Manager -> Options -> Settings -> New -> Advanced -> Protocol:
*Identify on server as: [YOUR AGENT STRING] #Mine for example is "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:2.0b11pre) Gecko/20110202 Firefox/4.0b11pre"
*Referrer: [blank]
*Use HTTP 1.1 [checked]
*Use cookies [checked]

Make sure you don't enter your information in the "Site Manager" or "Create new " options. I was unable to get Free Manager to work with filesonic with the built in authentication. If you don't know how to get your agent string go to http://www.agentstring.com/.

I tried using these exact settings with those exact versions of software and had no luck. Either "not-allowed.php" or what looks like some has sequence.

If it was not for the fact that the folks at IDM are greedy and want to charge me to run their software on a second computer which I own, I would just buy their software and forget about it.
I think FDM has about came to the end of its useful life, it refuses to work with most name brand file hosts.

FDM is Open Source software and the best way you can pay for it is to help developers and other s. For example you can test other free managers and write here which one works well with which file hosting service.

I think file hosting services cost a lot and their owners want you to help them make money. That's why they keep changing their websites to be incompatible with most of managers, not only FDM.

But what's the use of a site that blocks for managers? It is a site for s?
