I have set the maximum section number to 10, and minimum size to 100KB
I found that the sections FDM created is always very few, like 2 or 4
sometimes I close FDM and restart it, then the number can raise to 10

But I use the other software such as Internet Manager, Accelerator Plus or Orbit er, they all can create as many sectioins as I set

So I think FDM's ability need improvement

I trys to set the connection number to a large number
The problem still exsit

and even I set them all to auto
The strange thing is that when I first add a job, there are only 2 sections FDM creates
but when I restart FDM and let the job continue, the section number comes to 10 as I set

Change the Agent to Internet Explorer, keep the section no. 2 and minimum size to 500Kb.
I think this should give u a stable and good speed. You can try it!!!

But 2 sections is much slower than 10

By the way, where is FDM's developer?

You can just specify a manual value of maximum number of sections instead of automatic. In automatic mode FDM prefers to not create more than 4 sections until it knows the speed of a connection.

I set "Maximum number of connections" and "Maximum number of connections per one sever" both to a maximum value of 800
and set the "Connection speed" to my 4M ADSL's extreme speed 512KB/s.

But it doesn't work
FDM still often creates only 2 sections
and if I restart FDM, it comes to 10
