Ill stick eith ver 3xx. This looks like a dumbed down version for idiots aka the masses. It is the best alternative to paid IDM....

jet another tool which ruined the UI completely. Hamburger buttons suck on mobile and they suck on Desktop. I'll stay for ever on 3.x

You guys should fork 3.x in Classic build with being updated separately
and 5.x being a different light branch.

3.x being fa superior product than the new lite version,
maybe devs can chip in about whats the plan?

For one i like 3.x more than 5.x for obvious reasons.

The new UI looks nice but... You truly dumbed it out. Save as, Mirrors, Proxy, Connection settings etc... these are highly useful. By removing them you only lose your current s. Please keep all the features of 3.9 or you'll end up like Flashget.

Where are all the settings/options from the earlier 5.0 versions? In this BETA, almost nothing can be changed in the settings menu, is this a bug or have they been removed? Things like antivirus scanning, bittorrent settings, proxy settings, http/ftp settings, essentials, errors, local files, internet server, everything is gone. In this state, FDM is useless.

And why isn't it possible any more to enter MD5 or SHA1 hashed for new s so that you can check the integrity of the ?

Well, I do not think it is a bad idea to drop for a 14 years old, uned and unsafe operating system. No discussion on this please, it is fact that there are unpatched issues in XP that occured after the lifecycle ended and no one should use it anymore unless he uses a PC without an internet connectio. And in case you really have such a PC, what do you need a manager for?

But, I agree with you, the 5.0 pre-releases are much better atm as too many options are not available in the beta release.

Hello.

I just installed the FDM 5.1 on win10/chrome. when the new fdm open, everything is blank, i've lost all the files and tags.
i've all the sav files from the previous fdm 5.0 but it seems they are useless, because in the new fdm 5.1 everything is saved into a json file... what the hell !!! the new tag display on the 5.1 is uggly and less friendly to use.
a lot of necessary options are stilll missing and now there is even less choices in options. what's going on in your mind ?
now i want to go back to fdm 5.0 5140, and i can't because the chrome plugin allways ask me to install the lastest version of fdm and then disppear because i don't want .... so it seems i'm stuck and forced to use your lastest 5.1.

you should at minimum tell us that there is no backward compatibility with the previous fdm.
